The Business Owners Podcast, hosted by Martin Checketts
In our many years of working with business owners, I have found the same questions come up time and time again.
It seems that although business owners understand a lot about working in their business, many know little about how to work on it, and grapple with the same common problems, such as:
- How do I protect valuable assets that I have spent a lifetime building?
- How do I maximise value on my blood sweat and tears over a life’s work?
- How do I protect my businesses from risks like marriage breakdowns and will claims?
Furthermore, I see too many business owners with poor corporate structures. Such structures are inefficient, bad for asset protection, and fail to give you the right platform for growth and success – holding you back from achieving your true potential.
In order to find a solution to these issues, it is important to seek legal and taxation advice, however, high-end lawyers are expensive and many lack the depth and breadth of skills in this area to provide a comprehensive solution that encompasses all aspects of your business. Furthermore, I’m sure you will agree that most law is dry and inaccessible, and many lawyers keep you in the dark.
Sound good? I thought not.
I developed The Business Owners Podcast because I wanted to throw aside these taboos and break down these barriers; adding the human touch, particularly as these problems are often as much about people as they are about the law or tax.
I am so passionate about helping business owners with these issues that I wanted to bridge the gap between lawyers and clients; sharing some of my knowledge, and getting the message out there in an efficient way in the hope those business owners may thrive.
And when I’m not pioneering change...?
